My friends and I had a surprise stop to the shrine of Fatima.
We saw many penitents kneeling and walking on their knees around the chapel and making their way to the shrine on top. Ouch.

I lighted some candles and said a few prayer. And then we were off again to our journey to see the highest point in Portugal.
