Exploring Pammukale, Turkey

We explored Pammukale in Turkey.

Like I had mentioned in an earlier post, they might look like ice but they are actually limestones from calcium carbonate and water.

And yes, we had to climb it in order to get to Hierapolis – the ancient Roman city ruins at the top.

You cannot bring your shoes so we had to walk barefoot.

Because, it has hot springs on the hill it wasn’t that cold except in some areas. Some parts were mud soft and others were hard with slightly jagged edges. None that hurt your feet though.

It’s much better to travel in Pammukale in the winter because there aren’t a lot of people.
